Sockets per slot

- Each possible socket drops already open with a 15% chance (25% on Rare items or better).
- Andvari opens the missing sockets, up to the slot’s maximum. The 1st socket costs Fragments; the 2nd and 3rd cost Essences, plus gold. Items with a runeword can’t get new sockets.
Socketing and removing
Section titled “Socketing and removing”- Gems and runes fit into any empty socket.
- Removing a gem is free: it goes back to your gem bag.
- A runeword uses all of an item’s sockets; see Runewords.
Combining gems
Section titled “Combining gems”3 identical gems (same type and quality) → 1 gem of the next quality, plus gold. The table of values is under Gems.
