Odin
Odin
the All-Father
Lord of Valhalla. Seated on his throne, with the spear Gungnir, the wolves Geri and Freki at his feet and his ravens close by.
What he does
Section titled “What he does”Odin is an ambient character: he neither sells nor crafts anything. When you speak to him, he greets you by name — “Welcome to Valhalla” — and gives you a different piece of advice each time. His counsel sums up what each resident of the hall does; the full list is in Tips for beginners.
In the myths
Section titled “In the myths”Odin is the king of the gods of Asgard, god of wisdom, war and poetry. He gave up one of his eyes for a drink from Mímir’s well. Half of the warriors who die in battle are chosen by the valkyries and carried to his hall, Valhalla, where they prepare to fight at his side at Ragnarök.
