Brokkr

Brokkr

the Smith

A red-bearded dwarf kneeling by his anvil and brazier. He tends the iron: anything that changes an item’s affixes passes through his hands.

What he does

Service	Summary
Reforge	Replaces one affix on the item. You pick the affix and see 3 options (keeping the current one is among them).
Polish	Rerolls an affix’s value within the same tier. A ★ affix stays in the ★ range.
Masterwork	Upgrades the item from +0 to +10. Each level grants +5% to all affixes; at +4, +8 and +10 a random affix gains +25%.
Tempering	Adds an affix drawn from a recipe. Up to 3 attempts per item.
Salvage	Breaks the item down into materials: Fragments, Essences, Freyja’s Tears and Stardust.

Rules, costs and materials in Brokkr’s Forge and Salvage and materials.

Tip

The first affix you reforge on an item becomes its “anvil affix”: from then on, only that affix can be reforged on that item, and each reforge costs more than the last. Choose wisely!

In the myths

Brokkr and his brother Eitri are the dwarven smiths who forged the hammer Mjölnir for Thor, the ring Draupnir for Odin and the golden boar Gullinbursti for Freyr — all to win a wager against Loki.
